The tour can be changed without notice due to weather and traffic. You can start the tour directly from the meeting point, or use the free collection service from your hotel. When being picked up at the hotel in the morning, it is important to verify the driver is from TRIPACA AGENCY, as at there are several companies organizing pick ups at hotels at the same time. Please refer to the Concierge for information about collection schedules. In order to improve the quality of our services and to avoid delays in the collection to each hotel, we kindly ask for your cooperation to be ready at the lobby of your hotel at the scheduled time.
The mystic town of Saint Francis, still surrounded by its ancient walls, built on the green slopes of Mount Subasio, with its colorful houses of ink stone. Narrow streets, flower decked balconies and noble palaces provide beautiful views for memorable pictures (do not forget your camera).
An interesting visit to St. Francis Basilica with its early Renaissance masterpieces by Giotto and Cimabue and the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli.
Time for lunch in a typical restaurant (optional) and then the tour continues to Orvieto, where you can admire the magnificence of its Gothic Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture with a glistening façade of stained glass, mosaics and sculptures.
Soak up Orvieto’s charm and admire the countless churches that are scattered around its centre. Departure to Rome at 05.00 pm.
